176-room dual-brand Hilton hotel proposed near Boise Airport and I-84
October 8, 2026 · Boise · Spencer Southey

The Idaho Statesman reports that a Mississippi-based developer is pursuing a new Hilton project near the Boise Airport. Sources reviewed describe it as a dual-brand Home2 Suites and Tru by Hilton property near the airport and Interstate 84.
From the materials tied to the project, the proposal appears to be another sign that Boise's airport corridor is still attracting hospitality investment. Wealth Hospitality Group's Boise project page identifies the plan as a dual-brand Home2 Suites and Tru by Hilton hotel, and a separate coverage snippet says the firm filed plans for a 176-room property.
What's planned
Based on the sources reviewed, the proposal includes:
- A dual-brand Home2 Suites and Tru by Hilton hotel
- 176 rooms
- A location near Boise Airport and Interstate 84
- A developer identified as Wealth Hospitality Group of Ridgeland, Mississippi
The Idaho Statesman published the story on October 5, 2026, and the AOL mirror of that report said the firm is seeking another overnight option near the airport.
How it fits with the area
This isn't the only hotel-related story around the airport right now.
BoiseDev reported on October 1 that the City of Boise bought the boarded-up Airport Inn site at 2660 W. Airport Way, and that no plans had been decided for that property. BoiseDev had also previously reported on a separate Hilton proposal at 2149 E. Hospitality Ln., between Federal Way and Interstate 84. That earlier proposal, from 2025, was a four-story, 121-room LivSmart Studios by Hilton hotel, and BoiseDev said that site had long been planned for hotel use under the Columbia Crossing subdivision.
So when you step back, the pattern is pretty clear: this part of Boise continues to draw travel-focused development, even while some nearby properties are still in transition.
What happens next
The sources reviewed confirm the proposal and the basic concept, but they don't add much beyond that. I didn't see timing details for construction or opening in the notes provided here, so I wouldn't assume anything is imminent without more public filings and city review.
My take
For most homebuyers, this isn't the kind of project that changes your decision by itself. But if you're looking around the airport, Federal Way, or the I-84 corridor, it does tell you something about the area's direction. This part of Boise keeps leaning further into airport-serving and freeway-oriented commercial use.
That can be a plus if you value quick travel access or want to be near jobs and services tied to the airport corridor. The tradeoff is pretty straightforward too: areas built around hotels, major roads, and airport access usually feel busier and more commercial than a typical neighborhood setting. If you're buying nearby, I'd pay attention to the broader land-use pattern, not just this one hotel proposal.
